{"id":491,"date":"2018-07-23T18:23:17","date_gmt":"2018-07-23T23:23:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.burningchaff.com\/?p=491"},"modified":"2018-07-31T23:01:28","modified_gmt":"2018-08-01T04:01:28","slug":"faith-files-part-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.burningchaff.com\/?p=491","title":{"rendered":"Faith files&#8230;(part 1)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Growing Faith<\/strong><em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>2 Thessalonian 1:3 <\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>3 We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters,and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Without Growing Faith it is impossible to succeed in any other steps of faith.  Growing faith is what initially places faith in Christ.  Growing faith increases from weak to strong as one matures as a Christian.  Faith grows through increased knowledge and understanding of God. Increasing your knowledge of God is obtained through reading His Word.  So, Growing Faith grows through reading the Bible. Now, just reading is not enough.  Apply God&#8217;s Word daily is a necessity as well.  <\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Christian faith is based on God&#8217;s promises, rather than feelings, or things you can see. Great faith holds fast regardless of outward appearances.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Growing faith is linked to spiritual growth.  One of the ways the Bible speaks to this is in terms of craving milk as babies and solid food as you mature (1 Peter 2:2, Hebrews 5:11-14).
